From time to time, we offer short-term missions trips to various parts of the world. Below you'll find information on any trips that have recently been taken or are currently scheduled.
Short-Term Missions Trips to Biloxi, MS
We’ve sponsored several trips to the gulf region to assist with the clean-up and relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. We are working closely with “Hope Crisis Relief” (www.HCRN.info) in this ongoing ministry. In fact, as a result of these missions trips to Mississippi, Monte and Kim Brenneman sensed God calling them to work full-time in Biloxi at “Hope City,” the hub of HCRN’s disaster relief.
In the summer of 2007. the Brenneman family moved to Biloxi to coordinate the relief effort for “Hope City.” We commissioned them and sent them out of Woodburn Missionary Church as our missionaries to the gulf region. As Monte stated, “Our ministry is not simply helping rebuild homes; it is helping touch lives.”
Woodburn Missionary Church has not only helped with the relief effort, our volunteers have also come alongside Monte and Kim in an concerted effort to assist them in renovating the trailer in which their family will be living.
